UIC Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Week

Each year the University of Illinois at Chicago joins the nation in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Join us from January 17-21 for UIC's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Week 2023 and take part in a variety of commemorative events, which includes A Critical Conversation with Michelle Alexander, MLK Challenge 2023, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Legacy & Book Ban Legacy, Honor our MLK Scholars, and MLK Book Club.

“People fail to get along because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don’t know each other; they don’t know each other because they have not communicated with each other.”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
