January 15th 2024: MLK Day of Service Schedule
9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: - MLK volunteers meet at UIC to board the bus to Student Center East (SCE)
9:45 AM - 10:00 AM: - Welcome at Service Sites - Explanation of mission and service projects
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: - Service Projects for sites 3 and 4 - Engage in community service activities, at Stone Temple Baptist Church and My Block, My Hood, My City - Participate in various projects to contribute to the community
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM: - Service Projects for sites 1 and 2 - Engage in community service activities, at Manna’s Womens and Mens Centers - Participate in various projects to contribute to the community
12:00 PM: - Load buses back to UIC
12:30 PM: - Optional Lunch at Commuter Student Resource Center: - Lunch is provided but optional - Participants can gather at the Commuter Student Resource Center for a communal lunch and discussion
2:00 PM: - Pick up from service site 1 and 2 - Load buses back to UIC
