The Center for Student Involvement – will host Code R.E.D. Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Code R.E.D. is the evolution of the Student Org Conference. Each year registered student organization leaders participate in extensive training to support the operation of their organizations. In 2024 the event welcomes student leaders from across campus representing –
Registered Student Organization leaders,
Leaders of department supported groups,
Residence Hall leaders and,
Student Employees

Faculty, staff and student leaders who want to present please submit a proposal application at the link below- (SUBMIT HERE)
Presentations should focus on-
Resources to support students and their organization on/off campus to meet their mission
Engagement Opportunities to enhance the student experience at UIC
Development Opportunities to improve of the members of the group/organizations

Code R.E.D. is a great opportunity to connect with student leaders from other student organizations and to develop your leadership skills!
Code R.E.D. will provide insight on club/organization management, making it easier for you to lead your organization and navigate UIC’s policies and processes.
Participating in the Code R.E.D. is an initial step in the club registration process. Groups who attend the conference will become eligible to register their organization for the 25-26 academic year.
Registered Student Organizations that want to reserve a SPECIAL EVENT in Student Center East/Outdoor 24’-25’ must attend with their advisor, per Meetings and Conferences.

At least one member of your organization must be present at the conference in order to receive credit for attending. If a member can’t make the whole conference, it’s okay as long as another member steps in when they leave.
If more than one member of your organization, club, group wants to attend that’s great! We encourage the entire executive board to attend if available. The more the merrier!

Yes! You can represent up to two student organizations during the conference.

Registered Student Organization need to re-register EACH academic year. If your organization was registered for the 2024-25 academic year, you will need to re-register for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year.

We will be serving coffee/tea in the morning and lunch during the conference. Please bring your own water bottle/refreshments.
