UIC Black History Month
Introduction
The UIC Black History Month 2025 Student Planning Committee invites students, faculty, and staff to participate in this year’s Black History Month recognition from February 1-28, 2026.
Black History Month is an annual celebration of the achievements of Africans and African Americans and a time to acknowledge the central role of Black people in U.S. history. In observance of this important month, the University of Illinois Chicago has scheduled several campus events.
This year, we honor the theme "Stories of Our Resistance and Resilience."
