Shayna Bryan
Shayna Bryan is a third-year Pharmaceutical Sciences major on the Pre-Pharmacy track. She is a former teaching assistant at the UIC Honors College and a former member of the UIC Dance Team. She currently holds executive board positions as the Event Coordinator for the Caribbean Club and the Treasurer for the Black Pre-Health Society. Her additional involvement includes the National Residence Hall honorary, promoting service and recognition on campus, UI Health Volunteers, giving back to the Chicagoland community, and the DuSable Scholars program, fostering collaboration, community, and academic excellence among black students with majors in the STEM field.
Aliyyah Zaidi
Aliyyah is a fourth year English major who is part of Red Shoes Review and Phi Sigma Sigma.
Dea Talelli
My name is Dea Talelli. I am a third-year criminology and law justice major, minoring in social justice and logic, argumentation, and writing. I am actively involved on campus as the Vice President of Service for Alpha Phi Omega, a writing center tutor, a student worker for the Student Leadership and Civic Engagement Office, and an Honors College ambassador.
Yamaan Nandolia
Yamaan is a fourth year Computer Science major with minors in Mathematics and Business Administration and a member and former ambassador of the Honors College. Yamaan is also a Chance/ComEd scholar, teaching assistant for CS 362 and CS 377 under the CS Department and a teaching assistant for HON 101 for the Honors College. Additionally, Yamaan is also the director of SparkHacks – UIC’s hackathon.
Juliana Campolargo Hoyos
I am a third-year Electrical Engineering major with a minor in Mathematics. I am a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and serve as Sergeant at Arms for Alpha Phi Omega. I have received the Chancellor’s Student Service Award (CSSA) and am a CHANCE/ComEd Scholar. Additionally, I am a Teaching Assistant for the ENGR 100 Engineering Success Program and work as a general office aid for the Office for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement (SLCE).
Haniyyah Thomas
Haniyyah Thomas is a 3rd year Public Policy major who serves as a student ambassador for the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs. Hanniyah’s additional involvements include her role as the Founding President of the Black Student Coalition, an organization that advocates on the behalf of black students, and the Assistant Director of Service of the National Residence Hall Honorary which promotes service and recognition on campus.
Abigail Pettineo
Abigail Pettineo is a senior biology major with a minor in sociology on the pre-medicine track. Abigail is the Co-President of the Honors College Advisory Board, Co-President of Sparkathon UIC’s Dance Marathon for Cancer Survivors, Vice President of the Society of Future Physicians, Secretary of the Undergraduate Student Government, Secretary of Rotaract Club, a member of the LAS Dean’s Advisory Board, a research assistant in the Wenzel Mini-Lab studying mental health throughout pregnancy.
Maxxwell Guffey
George Maxxwell Guffey is a third-year Senior UIC student graduating one year early. He studies Marketing with minors in Public Policy and Economics. He is involved in the Honors College, Business Scholars, and UIC Radio, where he hosts a morning radio show titled Press Play.
Arman Raghnian
Arman is a third-year student majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Biological Sciences and Chemistry on the Pre-Dental track. Arman is the Vice President of Membership and the Secretary of Alpha Phi Omega, the Vice President of M.I.X.E.D., and the Secretary of BMES. Additionally, he is also a service leader within the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement and a volunteer at UI Health.
Chenille Lawrence
Chenille is a fourth year Computer Science major, a member of the Honors College and the President of the National Society of Black Engineers Chapter at UIC. Chenille is also a CHANCE/ComEd Scholar, teaching assistant for CS 151 under the CS department, and a student worker at the Equity and inclusion in Engineering Program offices. Additionally, Chenille is a member of Collegiate 100 and serves as the Experience Team Lead for UIC’s SparkHack hackathon planning committee.
